2024年全国大学生英语竞赛中的写作赛题主要是为了考查同学们的英语综合运用能力，其基本要求为：表达清楚、意义连贯、语言规范。作文赛题总分为30分，占竞赛题的比重为20%。可以说作文题是竞赛赛题中的重头戏，如果在作文题有良好的表现和发挥，对于整个竞赛成绩，会达到一个“四两拨千斤”的效果。写作赛题共分为两个部分，即应用文写作与一般性写作，本周我们主要针对第一部分：应用文写作进行辅导。 【题型解读】 应用文写作词数要求不少于100，计10 分。应用文写作对作文的实用性更加偏重。主要考查同学们是否能够在学习、生活及日后工作中运用英语准确、明了、地道地表达出自己的意愿、要求等。另外，在描述类作文中，要求同学们运用英语能够对各类情况、数据、图表进行准确、完整、到位的描述，以保证信息及数据完整、准确地传递出去。 【答题策略】 应用文写作要注意以下几点：◆格式正确：对于信件、便条、求职简历等应用文体的格式要求要了然于胸，包括：标题、称呼、落款、问候语、日期。◆条理清楚：对于所要说明和描述的事件和内容要明确表达的顺序和轻重，合理地对文章进行分段，使读者在阅读时能够很容易地获取信息。◆语句简洁：应用文写作不同于其他议论文等文体，要求用简明朴实的语言，开门见山地表明意图或客观地陈述事实、描述数据，首要的是保证信息准确无误地传递。切忌绕弯子，主观增加一些没有必要的长句、套话。◆注意用词：写作一定是要用书面语的，所以在写作当中，需要尽量避免使用口语化和非正式词汇。在描述客观数据及事物时，尽可能使用被动语态及静态等客观表达方式，少用主观性比较强的词汇和句式。 【典型例题1】 Section A (10 marks)You are a student and you are looking for a summer job in Beijing. You saw an advertisement as below. You believe you have the right experience and decide to apply for the job. Read the advertisement carefully and write a letter of application. UK: More service industries, less manufacturing

 Study the change in world of work in the U.K. and write a report based on the information given in the chart. You should state the information, explain possible reasons and draw your conclusion.You should write about 100 words in an appropriate style on the answer sheet. 【参考范文】 The chart presents an overall picture of the changes in world of work in the U.K. from 1978 to 2000.During the 22 years, the number of people working in service industries witnessed a rapid growth whereas the number of males and females working in manufacturing have been showing a gradual decline. For instance, in 1978, only about 8 million females worked in services, while in 2000, the number rose to about 12 million.
